About David:
David was born and raised in Germany and educated at the Stedelijk Instituut voor Ballet in Antwerp. He has been employed in permanent ensembles such as Skåne’s Dance Theater and Norrdans but has also worked with independent choreographers. He has worked with choreographers such as Jasmin Vardimon, Marcos Morau, Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Maria Nilsson Waller, Sebastian Matthias and Ina Christel Johannessen. David has toured with Claire Parsons Co. since 2018 and performs in the performances Marmalade, GRÄS, Signal and SOON SWOON.

The company has several performances on tour. What is it like to switch between the different characters in each performance?
– The characters emerge through their actions in interaction with each other. If I stick to the timing and energy of a specific scene, it happens surprisingly natural to find the character back even when a show has not been played for a while.

What is it like to guest star internationally?
– It is exciting to experience other cultures when we play in other countries and the positive reception of the performances confirms the strength of the physical expression on stage.

Is there any comment or response from the audience that you remember extra clearly in connection with the performances?
– “Are you real people?”, a child asked after a performance of GRASS.
